HISTORY

Park Hill School reflects the history and community of the Park Hill Neighborhood. Built in 1893 and originally known as Park School, the one-room school was eventually replaced by the beautiful Spanish Colonial Revival building you see today. A portion of the current building was constructed in 1901 and throughout the years additions accommodated population growth. Renovated as recently as 2005 with the addition of accessibility ramps, an elevator, new carpet and kitchen flooring, a new roof, fresh paint and window repairs, our neighborhood school continues to provide for our community of learners.

Instrumental band music is offered for 5th through 8th grade and choir is available to 6th through 8th graders.
We love reading. Our full-time librarian and wonderful library provide many additional resources. Park Hill School is honored to be a part of the Power Libraries Project. Our annual Read-In is a favorite family social event and we have a designated RIF (Reading Is Fundamental) Coordinator.
